Hey, Super Static Cling fans! Just wanted to update the blog with a little something new... I'm writing cutscene scripts! And, the more I write, the more apparent and lively the bosses' distinct personalities become, so lemme give you the scoop on each of them, for your enjoyment.
(For ease of understanding, at the start of the game, Buzz, Wade, Blaze and Dash vandalize Cling's home high school, and Cling tails them with aspirations of justice in mind.)
BUZZ: The loudmouth of the bunch. He gets himself into trouble by running his mouth faster than his combat skills can keep up with, resulting in self-embarrassment. As a scientist-in-training, he's known to spend of his time mixing chemicals or turning gears. Was tight-knit friends with Blaze until a recent incident pitted them against each other.
WADE: The most self-conscious of the group, who fears rejection more than anything else, and goes to extreme measures to win the praises of others, unfortunately to no avail. Wade is very timid by nature, and stammers when he lies or when he's nervous. Wade is the captain of the Chimney Chicken swim team, and as such idolizes Dash for his speed.
BLAZE: Blaze is the pun-master! At any given moment, he can bust out a pun terrible enough to make everyone's eyes roll. Almost always the puns refer to his fiery talents, the only exception to that is when he describes himself. Also, he's very touchy about his status as the coolest kid in town. He's got one hot temper! Also frequently adds the word "PERIOD," to the ends of sentences for emphasis. PERIOD.
DASH: Between Buzz's big mouth and Blaze's hot temper, there stands Dash to separate the two. His primary concern is calming frayed nerves between his group members, and focusing their efforts on stopping Cling in his tracks. Dash's personality is chill, but mixed with an appetite for danger. Because he's fast enough to never be caught in the act (At least, not yet), Dash is a hardcore risk-taker.
SLICK: Slick carries a burden that he can't seem to tell anyone. he often finds himself telling stories of his background to explain Bruz's odd behavior. Shrouded in mystery, this exchange student from Japan came to Chimney Chicken High with Bruz, and has no apparent ties to the assault on Cling's home High School, or past relations to Chimney Chicken. Why he chooses to align himself with the previous four chickens is unknown. What is known is that when he and Bruz arrived at Chimney Chicken High, they had a nice long talk with Principal Charles Chimney.
BRUZ: Bruz is seclusive to no end. Away from the others, he spends most of his time on the roof of Chimney Chicken High, meditating. He holds great power... more than enough to crush Cling, but refuses to use it for reasons he prefers not to name. Slick often pleads with him to help the others defeat Cling. Bruz is shocked at how much this stranger knows about his past, and resorts to a state of self-pity and denial... That is, until he realizes that Slick knows more about his past than he does.
